NOON ROTARY SUPPORTS BACKPACK PROGRAM

Past President Tim Asher presents a check from Noon Rotary to Tami Delaney of Feeding America to support the Backpack Program in Hardin County.  Under the Adopt a Backpacker Program, 37 children will be served by this donation.  That means that as a result of this donation 1,480 bags of food will be distributed to needy children during the upcoming school year.

 

NOON ROTARY CLUB'S ROTARY SMILES PROJECT

Rotarians Claudia Thurman and Glenn Ross along with former Rotary President and dentist Debbie Borden helped with dental screeninigs as part of the Rotary Smiles Project.  The project will provide dental screenings for all Hardin County third grade students.

 

NOON ROTARY CLUB 2010 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Scholarships are awarded to deserving students in three local high schools, the

Hardin County Schools Adult Learning Center and Elizabethtown Community

and Technical College to assist them in continuing their education.

 

The Lewis Hall Scholarship and the Bok Mitchell Scholarship are not part of the

Club's awards but are family sponsored scholarships.  However, both Lewis Hall

and Bok Mitchell were long-time active members of the Elizabethtown Noon

Rotary Club.

NOON ROTARY WINS DISTRICT COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

The Elizabethtown Noon Rotary Club was recognized

with the District 6710 Community Service Award for

2009.  The club sponsored the Hardin County Backpack

Program that supplies supplemental food for over 600

NOON ROTARY SUPPORTS BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS

The Elizabethtown Noon Rotary Club was honored at

its meeting on March 24, 2009 as the club that raised

the most money for the Bowl For Kids Sake fundraiser.

NOON ROTARY SUPPORTS CASA

Rotary President Glenn Ross presents a check for

$250 to CASA Executive Director Sylvia Griendling.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is an

established program nationwide that is new to the

Hardin County area.  CASA utilizes volunteers to

advocate for children in the Family Court System.

 

 

NOON ROTARY SUPPORTS BACKPACK PROGRAM

students.

County Backpack Program.

 

At their regular meeting on September 9, 2008, the Elizabethtown Noon

Rotary Club made a donation of $6,500 to America's Second Harvest to be

used to support the Hardin County Backpack Program.  This donation

totally funds Hardin County's Backpack program for one month.  The

backpack program provides nutritional weekend meals for over 700 Hardin

County students.

 

NOON ROTARY SUPPORTS MS WALK

 

On Saturday, September 5, 2008, Rotarians participated in the

Annual MS Walk and raised over $1300 to help find a cure for
