District conference

The purpose of the district conference is to advance the Object of Rotary through fellowship, inspirational addresses, and the discussion of matters of importance to Rotary clubs and Rotary International. The conference showcases Rotary programs and successful district and club activities. For Rotarians, the conference is an inspirational celebration and an opportunity to enjoy fellowship.

Presidents-elect Training Seminar (PETS)

The presidents-elect training seminar helps presidents-elect prepare for their year as club president. The meeting is an opportunity for incoming club presidents to build strong working relationships with their district governor-elect and incoming assistant governors.

Recommended time frame: Annual one-and-a-half-day seminar in March

U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell addressed the Club at the Historic State Theater at the May 26th Club meeting.

ROTARY SMILES

Rotary Smiles, a dental screeniing program for Hardin County third grade stuednts will take place each Friday in September.  Here, Rotarian Dentist John Duplessis screens a third grade student at Lakewood Elementary School. Treatment will follow at a later date.

 

ROTARY CRUISIN BREAKFAST


Rotarians served breakfast on July 27th as part of the annual "Cruisin the Heartland" festival.  The fundraiser provided Rotartians the opportunity to fellowship and raise funds for Club projects.


CLUB SPEECH CONTEST

Alea O'Bryan, Tori Nelson and Omar Banihani participated in the Club Speech Contest.  Tori won the contest and will participate in the Sectional competition on March 22nd.

 

CLUB RECEIVES DISTRICT AWARD

AREA SPEECH CONTEST

 

The area speech contest was held at the regular Club meeting on march 20, 2012.  Contestants from left to right: Caleb Moore, Home Schooled, Syreeta Briggs, North Hardin High School, Quinn Towery, Scottsville High School in Allen County, and Omar Banihani of Elizabethtown High School.  Caleb More was trhe contest winner, with Quinn Towers placing 2nd and Syreeta Briggs placing 3rd.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ELIZABETHTOWN ROTARY WINS DISTRICT AWARDS

 

The Elizabethtown Rotary received the District 6710 2010-2011 Largest Increase in Giving Per Captia and the 2010-2011 STAR Award representing $100 or more Per Capita giving from Dave Weller, Rotary Foundation General Chair.
