 Rotary District 6710
2010 District Conference
May 21-23, 2010
Santa Claus, Indiana

The purpose of the district conference is to advance the Object of Rotary through fellowship, inspirational addresses, and the discussion of matters of importance to Rotary clubs and Rotary International. Each year our annual conference showcases Rotary programs and successful district and club activities. For Rotarians, the conference is an inspirational celebration and an opportunity to enjoy fellowship

On May 21-23, 2010, we'll be hosting our District Annual Conference at Santa Claus, Indiana - the home of the Holiday World Amusement Park. We are excited about the format change that creates a family centered event involving spouses and children in most aspects of the conference itself rounded off with a day at Holiday World. We are inviting our Rotarian's family members to play an active role while at the conference. Here are some examples of how they will be involved:

  • Spouses and/or  12 years or older children will be serving as Conference Sergeant at Arms
  • Children 5 years of age or older will be leading us in prayer, pledge to the Flag and the Four Way Test
  • Spouses and/or teenagers will be serving at the conference registration desk
  • Spouses and children will be packaging up the food canned goods in our "Service Above Self" project to supply a food pantry that serves the poor
  • Spouses and/or children 12 years of age or older will be entertaining with their musical talents.
  • Spouses and/or children 12 years or older will be a part of the Sunday Memorial Service

We're even planning extra "fun" activities for the kids. Complete registration information will be arriving soon in your mail box.  Those interested in serving in any of the above areas may contact Don Dykman, Conference Committee member, at (502) 226-1948 or by e-mail at dondykman@aol.com.

Come, bring the family, and experience the excitement of Rotary! Mark your calendars today!
