This Week at Elizabethtown Noon Rotary Club:

Rotary President Glenn Ross

gave his farewell address to the

Elizabethtown Noon Rotary Club

on June 30, 2009.  President

Glenn pointed out the many

accomplishments of the club

during the past year and

challenged the club to build

on that foundation in 2009-2010.    

 


James Doughty and Greg Jenkins

were recognized for receiving an

award at the 2009 District 6710

Conference.  The category for the

award was Best Community

Service Project for the

Elizabethtown Noon Rotary Club

sponsorship of the Hardin County

Backpack Program.  The

program provides supplemental

food for over 600 Hardin County

Rotary International 2008-2009 Theme

 

20th Pops in the Park Concert

 

July 24, 2009 is the date for the next First Federal Savings Bank's Pops in the Park concert. Rain date is July 26th.

 

The theme for the Louisville Orchestra's concert will be "Arabian Nights". Freeman Lake Park will open at 6:00pm. The concert will begin at 8:30pm. Zambelli International will again hold a fireworks display as a finale for the concert. Proceeds from this event are used for local Rotary scholarships and support of the United Way of Central Kentucky.

 

To help make your evening more enjoyable, the Elizabethtown Rotary Club will once again be offering reserved table seating for eight (8). The table cost is $240.00. 4 "VIP" passes to the park will be allocated to each table.

 

Tables are limited and are reserved on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve your table (s) contact Cathy Williamson via email at cwilliamson@bbbkyin.org, with "Pops" in the subject line or by phone at 270-982-1289 by noon on July 21st. Payment is expected when tickets are ordered. Checks should be mailed to Elizabethtown Rotary, P.O. Box 521,
